We receive many questions about our boxing rings for sale and one of the most common questions is about sizing and space requirements. We want to be as helpful as possible, so we have created a simple guide to ensure that your boxing ring fits perfectly in your gym.
Customers can forget that space around a ring is required, which is why we advise the following before purchase;
Measure Your Space: Accurately measure the length and width of the area where you plan to install the ring.
Allow for Surrounding Space: For safety and manoeuvrability, ensure at least 2 feet of space around the ring. If you’re considering a 22-foot ring, the ideal space would be at least 24 feet.
Gyms, especially in older buildings such as mills and community spaces, can sometimes have lower ceilings/lighting/pipes, which is why choosing the correct platform height is important.
Check Ceiling Height: Ensure the ceiling height is sufficient to accommodate the ring and any overhead equipment.
Choose the Right Platform: Protec offers training rings with 1, 2, or 3 feet platform heights. Select the height that best suits your needs and the height of your ceiling.
Customers can often be mistaken about the training space within our boxing rings. To help avoid costly mistakes, it is best to remember that the training area is within the overall ring size.
A 24-foot training ring will have a training space of 22 feet inside the ropes.
